Irish Dog Portraiture
Bewley’s Café Theatre, Dublin7–13 November 2024
The first solo presentation of the Irish Dog Portraiture Collection brought together twelve paintings celebrating Ireland’s nine native dog breeds. The exhibition opened with an introduction by David Blake Knox, author of The Curious History of Irish Dogs.
Developed through research, travel and meetings with breeders across Ireland, the collection explores the history and character of these breeds, including those now considered vulnerable.
