In a world full of fleeting digital moments, a painted portrait offers something different: something you can hold, hang, and live with—for years, even generations.
I paint each portrait by hand. It’s slow work, but that’s the point. I want to capture your dog’s real spirit, not just their likeness.
Together we’ll choose the best medium—oil for softness and depth, or acrylic for crisp, fine detail. I’ll guide you based on your dog’s coat, their character, and the feeling you want to hold on to.
A good portrait becomes part of a family’s story. That’s why I take each commission seriously. Whenever possible, I like to meet your dog in person—to see how they move, how they look at you, the small things a photograph can miss.
But I know many of my clients live far away—and that's perfectly fine. Over the years, I’ve painted dogs from photographs sent across countries and continents. A few clear, well-lit images are enough, though you’re always welcome to send more. It not only helps me choose the best reference, but better understand your dog's essence.
I only take on one, sometimes two, commissions at a time so each piece gets the attention it deserves. Most paintings are completed within two to four weeks. A 50% deposit is required when work begins. If you have a specific date in mind—for a birthday, anniversary, or other occasion—a 20% prepayment reserves your place in my schedule.
If this feels right, just reach out. I’d love to paint your dog and create something special for you.
